Professor Idean Salehyan recognized by American Political Science Association

College of Liberal Arts and Sciences political science professor Idean Salehyan is recognized by the American Political Science Association as one of the most cited faculty members in his field. He is in the top three most-cited political science researchers in his graduation cohort (2005-2009).

Salehyan is a specialist in international and civil conflict. He also focuses on international migration and the effect of politics on the environment. He is the author of Rebels Without Borders: Transnational Insurgencies in World Politics. In this book, he examines transnational rebel organizations in civil conflicts. Salehyan has also been published in the American Journal of Political Science, International Organization, International Studies Quarterly, Journal of Conflict Resolution, Journal of Peace Research and Journal of Politics and World Politics.
