I took a year off after my sophomore year in college and traveled to 11 countries and areas. This trip was not just fun but it deeply influenced my view of life. The total expense of this travel was about US$5,000. To get the money, I engaged in physical labor such as a traffic controller and a road sweeper. It was hard work, but also memorable.
