Study Abroad - Colombia: Politics, People and Peace

Colombia is one of the most beautiful, fascinating and complicated places in the world. There is much to learn from Colombia about sustaining peace, advancing reconciliation and promoting development.

Through visits to Bogota, Medellin, and Cartagena, students gain a deep and broad understanding of Colombian politics, people and culture and the peace process. Students learn how economic development and education affect people in diverse Colombian communities.

Academics:

  • 3 credit hours
  • PSCI 3700: Area Politics

Eligibility:

  • Open to all majors
  • No pre-requisites
  • Minimum 2.5 GPA

Dates:

  • Application Deadline: February 1, 2019
  • Depart: June 5, 2019
  • Return: June 28, 2019

Cost:

  • $TBD
  • Cost includes housing, some meals, UNT tuition, excursions, program activities, and health insurance
  • Additional expenses include airfare, passport, visa, some meals and course materials
