Graduate Awards

The Department will select yearly winners for each award in February. The value of the awards is between $150‐$500.

  • Sam B. McAlister Outstanding Graduate Student in Political Science
  • Department of Political Science Outstanding Teaching Assistant
  • Department of Political Science Outstanding Teaching Fellow
  • Department of Political Science Outstanding Research Assistant
  • Pender Award for Best Graduate Paper in Political Science

Toulouse Dissertation Award: This award recognizes individuals whose dissertation makes a significant contribution to their field of study. It is open to recent doctoral graduates and doctoral students who have completed their dissertation for spring graduation. Learn more and apply here.
