Congratulations to our 2017-2018 Departmental Award winners!

Congratulations to our 2017-2018 Departmental Award winners!

We have two teaching award winners. Professor Gina Branton is recognized for excellence in graduate teaching and Professor Bethany Blackstone is recognized for excellence in undergraduate teaching. Both are also our nominees for the respective College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences Advisory Board awards.

We also have two winners of our research award. Professors Jim Meernik and Kimi King are recognized for excellence in research based on their recent publication: The Witness Experience: Testimony at the ICTY and its Impact.

Last but not least, Professor Gloria Cox is the winner of the First Annual Department of Political Science Award for Outstanding Achievement in the Field of Excellence. This award recognizes one of the most important, but often least appreciated features of a successful academic department: outstanding and selfless service!
