Our very own Dr. Paul Hensel and Dr. Sara Mitchell from the University of Iowa received the J. David Singer Data Innovation Award from the Conflict Processes Section. They were presented with the award during the 2019 American Political Science Association conference in recognition for their data collection project, the Issue Correlates of War (ICOW) http://www.paulhensel.org/icow.html.

ICOW collects information about diplomatic conflicts involving land borders, cross-border rivers, maritime areas, and identity issues and tracks the peaceful and militarized management of such claims.
