Valerie Martinez-Ebers selected to be a University Distinguished Research Professor

The University of North Texas has selected Dr. Valerie Martinez-Ebers to be a University Distinguished Research Professor. This is one of the highest honors UNT can bestow on faculty for exceptional research contributions.

Dr. Martinez-Ebers was also recently awarded the Midwest Latino Caucus for Political Science Distinguished Career Award at the Midwest Political Science Association Conference in Chicago. As described in the conference program, "This award recognizes a Latino/a or Latino Politics scholar who has made a substantial contribution to scholarship, who has made significant contributions to the profession and its associations, who has actively mentored scholars at her own institution or elsewhere, and who serves as a positive role model in the profession."
