The Clovis and Marilyn Morrisson Scholarship honors Dr. Clovis Morrisson, a long-time professor in the Department of Political Science, and his wife, Marilyn by providing scholarships for students studying political science at the University. Professor Morrisson delighted and instructed generations of students in Constitutional Law, as well as American and Texas government.

To be eligible for consideration, an applicant for the Scholarship must possess the following characteristics:

  • Meet the minimum entrance and academic performance standards of the department in effect at the time of any award.
  • Maintain full time enrollment in their degree program at the University.
  • Enroll as a full-time student in political science at the University; in the event no applicant possesses this characteristic, or if the Department of Political Science (or its successor) no longer exists, then students enrolling full-time in the study of government and politics at the University will be eligible for consideration.
