U.S. Department of Health and Human Services: Office of the Inspector General

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Office of Inspector General (OIG is the largest inspector general's office in the federal government. The Student Volunteer Internship Program exposes students to the work of the Office of Investigations and potential career opportunities. Student interns gain valuable work experience by supporting activities related to criminal and civil investigations of fraud, waste, and abuse in HHS programs, primarily Medicare and Medicaid. Student interns will learn about federal laws, regulations, and guidance related to HHS Programs; provide investigative and administrative support for current investigations; and assist with special projects.

Denton County Friends of the Family (Multiple Available) - Denton, Texas

DCFF is looking for interns looking to get involved in counseling, social work and other non-profit related fields. Interns will cover a variety of responsibilities depending on the internship ranging from educating others on prevention, education, and awareness, getting involved in shelter advocacy and helping to facilitate shelter responsibilities for child.

White House Internship Program

The Office of the Press Secretary is taking applications for their White House Internship Program. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to) conducting research on various topics, managing incoming inquiries, attending daily meetings, writing memos for various staff members, and staffing events. Responsibilities will change based on the intern's assigned department.

Requirements:

- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program at a university.

- Have graduated from an undergraduate or graduate degree program at a college, community college, or university no more than two years before the internship program start date.

- Are a veteran of the United States Armed Forces who possesses a high school diploma or its equivalent and has served on active duty in the two years preceding the internship program start date.

District Representative for State Representative Lynn Stucky - Denton, Tx

  • Assist District Director and District Liaison in direct constituent communication.
  • Organize constituent inquiries
  • Assist in casework requests by communicating with state agencies
  • Keep up with Legislation during Legislative Session.
  • Assist with maintaining Legislative database.
  • Complete Legislative research projects as assigned.
  • Attend community functions as needed
    Requirements: Adhere to business casual/business professional as appropriate. Some nights cand weekends will be required.
    Avaibility Dates: Operating hours for the District Office are Monday, Wednesday, Thursday from 9am-5pm. Hours can and will vary.
