Congratulations on your decision to hire an intern from the University of North Texas. UNT is the largest public university in the DFW metroplex and is ranked in the top 4% of research institutions in the United States by the Carnegie Foundation. As such we offer an unparalleled candidate pool; whatever your needs, we have the student for you! Only juniors and seniors with a GPA of at least 3.0 are eligible, so you can be sure that the intern candidates are, to an individual, bright, hard-working, and mature.

By hiring an intern, not only are you obtaining a cost-efficient labor solution, but you are also investing in the student, the country, and your own company! You are providing the student priceless opportunities to complement their college education with real-world experience in their own field. You are helping to train the next generation of leaders in whichever career field the intern chooses to pursue. Finally, as many internships result in permanent post-graduation job offers, you may be securing for your company a bright, dedicated, young employee for the future.

Interns receive one to three hours of academic credit for their work, and are expected to work 10-15 hours a week if employed during the fall or spring semesters or 30-35 hours per week if employed during the summer. In addition to the supervision they will be receiving at your office, they will be working closely with an academic supervisor.

Our Internship Coordinator will send a form at mid-term and a final form at the end of your internship for your immediate supervisor to evaluate your work.

If your ready for us to start looking for candidates for your position, please fill out an information sheet to help us determine exactly what you're looking for in an intern. You can e-mail it to Gloria.Cox@unt.edu.
