Dr. Amy H. Liu, Associate Professor in the Department of Government at the University of Texas at
Austin, will make a presentation entitled. "The Language of Legacies: The Politics of Evoking Dead
Leaders" on Wednesday October 5, 2018 in Wooten Hall 111 at 12 noon- 1:30 pm. Dr. Liu is a leading
scholar on Language and Politics in the world, and has a regional expertise on Southeast Asia and
Eastern and Central Europe. She is one of the only scholars I know who has done extensive work on
the politics of the Chinese diaspora community in Eastern Europe. You can find her UT website
