Today is the 100th anniversary of the passage of the 19th amendment!

Today is Women's Equality Day commemorating the 100th anniversary of the passage of the 19th Amendment, which granted women the right to vote! The fight to gain this right was decades-long and led by suffragists determined to exercise their democratic rights. Women such as Susan B. Anthony, Sojourner Truth, Fannie Lou Hamer, Lucretia Mott and Elizabeth Cady Stanton along with many others persistently fought for a more equal society. Thank you to all these leaders! We must be sure to exercise this right!
