While formal graduate seminars often cover issues of professionalization, the primary purpose of graduate seminars is to train graduate students to conduct political science. In light of this, the Political Science Department hosts regularly scheduled professionalization workshops for the purpose of improving our students' professional development. These professionalization seminars are administered by professionalization coordinators who are members of the Graduate Studies Committee. For those interested, informal discussions typically continue at a local purveyor of food and cheer.
The Department also recommends that students attend the Professional Development Workshops hosted by the Toulouse Graduate School.
